Tolido’s Espresso Nook – Block 462 Crawford Lane

17/1/2014 – Tolido’s Espresso Nook was one of the places that I had wanted to visit ever since it has opened 4 months ago. Operating their first outlet at Omni Theatre, they specialise in all-day breeakfast and coffee.

The menu here is extensive. Note that for the coffee selection, they are using Yahava blends.

The Latte ($4.90) tasted just right, with not much acidity.

The Bailey’s Coffee ($8) is great as well. My friend enjoyed it as enough Bailey’s is added into it to bring its flavour up, while maintaining the taste and the aroma of the coffee.

The Tolido’s American Breakfast ($7.90) is value-for-money that comes with toast, baked beans, bacon, chipolata sausages and a sunny side-up. It tasted great and is nicely made, except that the bacon is slightly too salty for my liking.

The Banana Pancakes ($7) here comes in generous portions (a triple stack, topped with whipped cream) and is rather fluffy. Although the taste of the pancakes lingers of bananas, there’s also a slight artificial taste which I felt that they may have added a bit of pancake mix into it that results in this taste.

The Cinnamon Roll ($2.30) is one pastry to be ordered here. You can request for it to be heated up (which we did). The smell and taste of the cinnamon is strong throughout, complementing the buttery taste of the roll.

Ideal for people who work around the Bugis / Lavender area, or is shopping around Bugis / Haji Lane. If you are around the area, this place is great for having a cup of coffee to sip.
