18/12/2013 – While walking along Lorong Ah Soo few days prior to visiting here, I chanced upon Ciel Patisserie that was closed by the time I walked past. I told myself I will come here since I will pass by the vicinity again anyway.
Ciel Patisserie used to operate a former outlet at Midlink Plaza and one of the co-owner (and also the chef), Chara Lum, has been trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris! And since Ciel means “sky” or “heaven” in French, we will probably get a heavenly taste out of the cakes here!
As I came on a weekday, there is a promotion for any selections of cake and tea set, going at $6.80.
The Fuji ($5.20) is a green tea infused mousse cake, with a lychee-based gelee filling in between. Sweet on the inside, strong green tea taste on the outside and soft on the whole, this should never be missed out on when you are here.
The Irish Chocolate ($2.90) tea that comes from Allerines Premium Tea (an online tea brand based locally) is aromatic and heavily-infused. This will definitely please chocolate lovers.
