8/6/2013 – Initially me and X wanted to went to Fast Food for Thought for dinner, but we went there with the restaurant closed already. For this dinner we asked XD and WX along, so we decided for Maki-san at The Cathay. It is my 2nd time here with X and it is a nice place to come to for D.I.Y sushi.
Note: No reviews about the sushis as each sushi is different and tastes will be vastly different to describe.
WX had the Mega San ($9.90, + $1.50 for 1 extra special) with brown rice. Essentials: grilled eggplant, tamagoyaki, asparagus, tuna mayo, tobiko. Specials: grilled unagi, salmon sashimi. Sprinkles: chicken floss. House sauces: honey mustard
XD had the Mega San ($9.90) with brown rice. Essentials: japanese cucumber, tamagoyaki, parmesan cheese, tuna mayo, silken tofu. Specials: teriyaki chicken. Sprinkles: turkey bacon bits. House sauce: BBQ
I had the Mega San ($9.90). Essentials: japanese pickled cucumber, sliced cheddar cheese, tuna mayo, kani stick, tempura enoki mushroom. Specials: grilled unagi. Sprinkles: turkey bacon bits. House sauce: smoky cheddar cheese
Highly recommended to come here if you want a sushi made to your taste! (and have fun with your friends because I know I did)
