Tom’s Palette – Shaw Leisure Gallery (Shaw Tower)

01/06/2013 – Straight after our lunch, me and my friends went over to Tom’s Palette right opposite Ah Loy Thai. This place looked very simple with loads of post-it notes of patrons who had their ice creams.

I had Mocha Macnut (mocha ice cream with white chocolated coated macadamia and almond nuts) and Milk Ice Cream ($4.40). The Mocha Macnut tasted more chocolatey and the bits of crunchy macadamia and almond nuts made it even nicer. The Milk Ice Cream was full on milk flavour. Nothing else to describe it although it lacks behind other places which offered similar milk flavours which tasted more concentrated.

As one of the places which offers ice cream at one of the cheapest prices around town, I will definitely come back here again! Definitely, I will try different flavour that I have missed out and that was told by my friends are recommendations.

Food: 7.5/10 (ice cream rich in flavour)
Ambience: 8/10 (feels vibrant and youthful to dine in here, tables well decorated)
Comfort: 6.5/10 (tables and seats rather squeezy)
Service: 8/10 (fast service, value for money)
Total: 30/40
