Maccha House – Orchard Central

A dinner on 4/5/2013, me & X decided to have dinner at Maccha House after considering the crowd at the other restaurants along the Orchard stretch. This place had been one of the places both of us wanted to come to but failed to plan out.

Before we ordered we were told the desserts were sold out. That means…… no more dorayaki, no more sweets, no more parfaits.

X had the Spicy Fried Pork with Half-Boiled Egg Rice Bowl ($10.90). He recalled the serving was very little and not much wow factor into it.

I had a Tonkotsu Ramen ($11.90). Not really impressive as the pork belly was very little and the broth taste wasn’t as strong as the other tonkotsu ramens I have tried before. The half-boiled egg was still passable though.

Of course the ramen wouldn’t be complete without a cup of Regular Matcha Latte ($4.90). Yet another disapppointing item as the matcha tastes rather powdery.

I will probably skip this place if I wanted a matcha-related meal, unless their desserts are available again.
